To submit a prescription order, you must be a client of either Chatham Animal Hospital or West Cary Animal Hospital.   Additionally, your pet must have a recent physical exam on record by one of our doctors within 12 months of this request.   Your pet must also have had a negative heartworm screen within the last 12 months to purchase heartworm preventative medication.  We appreciate your understanding in allowing us to provide quality medical care for your pets.

We strive to provide a convenient way to supply our clients with both prescription and non prescription products, so we offer the options below from which to choose:


If you would like to pick up your prescription items at either hospital you may stop by either office or follow the instructions below to notify us in advance of your needs.   When using the website to request items please be specific as to which hospital you wish to obtain your supplies from. You can call or email the appropriate hospital or use “pet portals”.

Please sign up for “pet portals” on our website.  This is a pri

vate pet health website provided to you by both  Chatham and West Cary Animal Hospitals.  You can use this “pet portal” to follow your pets medical history, request changes to your account and refill prescriptions previously filled by us.    There are many features offered by “pet portals” and they are all free of charge to our clients.

You may choose to have your heartworm and/or Flea medication mailed.   Postage is $2.85 per order.

You may pay over the phone using either Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

Your product will be mailed to your home address within 48 business hours.
